Bloodlust
Bloodlust is a secret Knowledge of the second stage in the Towns category. It differs from other pieces of Knowledge, and we recommend that you read carefully about how it works before learning it.
Bonus from this Knowledge
The Bloodlust Knowledge grants a permanent bonus to your troops' offense during their attacks on Towns, but it imposes a restriction on using a Peace Treaty.
Learn this Knowledge, and your troops will get a bonus to offense during attacks, Onslaughts, or espionage in enemy Towns.
This restriction is activated automatically, and its duration depends on the Knowledge level.
Thus, if you upgrade the Bloodlust Knowledge to level 1 and send your troops to attack another Jarl's Town, you won't be able to use a Peace Treaty for 30 seconds.
You can view the duration of this restriction:
- In the Boosts icon on the Town screen and on the Global Map
- In the Military tab of the Boosts window, under the Peace Shield category
The Bloodlust bonus doesn't apply to attacks, Onslaughts, and espionage carried out in resource locations or Fortresses. In these cases, the restriction on using the Peace Treaty is not activated.
The increase to offense that is granted by Bloodlust and the restriction on the use of Peace Treaties act independently of one another. The bonus is constantly active and affects all troops that you send to enemy Towns. The timer on the Boosts icon and in the Peace Shield category is not related to this bonus. The timer only shows the period during which you cannot use a Peace Treaty.
Every attack, Onslaught, or espionage that you direct at another Town reactivates the Peace Treaty restriction. That is to say, if you perform one of these activities while the restriction is already active, the countdown of its duration will start over again.
For example, let's say you start an Onslaught. The 30-second restriction on the use of Peace Treaties is activated. If after 10 seconds, you send troops to attack another Jarl's Town, the duration of the restriction will reset to 30 seconds. Meanwhile, the offense of both troops will be increased.
